About Us
Fox Valley Overhead Door Company has installed and serviced doors across the Fox Valley since 1973. We work with commercial and industrial customers throughout Appleton, Oshkosh, Green Bay, De Pere, and Neenah, from rolling steel and sectional doors to gate operators and dock equipment, and we also serve homeowners and builders on the residential side. We are a Clopay, Cornell, and LiftMaster dealer.
The Role
We're hiring an outside sales rep to grow our commercial door business across the Fox Valley. You'll go after new accounts with facility managers, general contractors, property managers, and building owners, and sell our full line of commercial doors, operators, and service. Residential sales will be part of the job, but commercial is where we want to grow.
This is a hunter role. Most of your time will go to prospecting and building your territory. We care more about attitude and integrity than years on a resume. If you're driven, honest, and willing to learn, we'll teach you the products.
What You'll Do
- Prospect for new commercial and industrial accounts through cold calls, networking, referrals, and industry events
- Build relationships with facility managers, general contractors, property management companies, and building owners
- Target commercial accounts like warehouses, manufacturers, schools, hospitals, and municipalities
- Sell service agreements and repeat work to keep commercial customers coming back
- Support residential sales with homeowners and builders as needed
- Prepare proposals, follow up on leads, negotiate, and close
- Hit sales, revenue, and gross profit targets
- Keep customer records, activity, and pipeline current in our CRM
- Work with our install and service teams so jobs go smoothly after the sale
What You Bring
- A strong work ethic and the integrity to do right by customers
- Drive to prospect, follow up, and close without someone pushing you
- Sales experience is a plus, especially in doors, building products, construction, HVAC, facility services, fire and life safety, or industrial services
- Comfortable talking with facility managers, contractors, and business owners
- Organized enough to manage your own pipeline
- Willing to learn technical products and mechanical systems
- Comfortable with CRM and standard business software
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Fox Valley
