- Negotiate and administer design professional contracts.
- Manage outside counsel, including scope, budget, and performance oversight.
- Provide responsive, practical, and timely legal advice to business stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Identify and manage legal risk and ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
The right candidate will have:
- Law degree from a leading university and strong academic credentials
- Qualified to practice law in the UK or EU; admission to a U.S. state bar or qualification in another common law jurisdiction is a plus
- Five to ten years of relevant real estate legal experience, with a meaningful combination of work at a leading international or UK/EU law firm and/or in-house at a multinational company operating in Europe
- Familiarity with Europe’s retail industries is a strong plus
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Outstanding analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-starter with ability to balance many projects simultaneously and complete tasks accurately, on schedule and with minimal supervision
- Willingness to take initiative and work flexible hours to accommodate collaboration with U.S.-based teams
ALO offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, including base salary, performance bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits consistent with ALO's total rewards program. Compensation details will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and local market benchmarks.
