The Role..

We are looking for a Creative Director to lead the Soho Home Creative team and shape the visual expression of the brand across photography, campaigns, content, art direction, digital, editorial and wider brand communications.

Working closely with the Chief Creative Officer, this role will translate the creative vision for Soho Home into a distinctive and cohesive visual world, ensuring every touchpoint feels considered, relevant and unmistakably Soho Home.

The Creative Director will lead the creative team and oversee the full creative process from concept and creative direction through to execution, ensuring a consistently high standard across all imagery and brand communications.

This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with the Head of Creative, Marketing, Photography, Content and wider Soho House teams to create compelling visual messaging that builds the Soho Home brand.

Key Responsibilities..

Creative Direction

Work closely with the Chief Creative Officer to define and evolve the overall creative direction and visual identity of Soho Home.
Translate the wider brand vision into a clear and distinctive visual language across all creative output.
Set the creative standard for Motion, photography, art direction, campaigns, editorial, digital and content.
Ensure all creative output feels cohesive whilst allowing for freshness, experimentation and evolution.
Develop creative concepts and visual narratives that bring Soho Home products, collections and collaborations to life.
Establish and maintain a strong visual point of view across all brand touchpoints.
Identify new creative opportunities, references, talent, collaborators and cultural influences that can strengthen the Soho Home brand.
Push the creative team to produce work that is distinctive, culturally relevant and visually compelling.

Creative Team Leadership

Lead, inspire and develop the Soho Home Creative team, creating a high-performing and collaborative creative culture.
Manage and support the Head of Creative, ensuring clear direction, priorities and accountability.
Oversee the wider creative function, including Photography, Art Direction, Content and other creative disciplines.
Set clear expectations around creative quality, output, ownership and deadlines.
Develop the team's capabilities, identifying opportunities for growth and new creative talent.
Ensure the right creative resource is in place for each project, balancing internal capability with freelance and external talent.
Provide clear creative feedback and direction throughout the development and execution of projects.
Create an environment where the team is encouraged to challenge, experiment and bring new ideas.

Photography & Art Direction

Own the creative direction and standards across all Soho Home creative
Work closely with the Photographer and Art Direction team to develop a distinctive photographic language for the brand.
Lead creative direction for product, lifestyle, interiors, campaign and editorial photography & motion.
Establish clear principles for lighting, composition, styling, set design, casting, locations and visual storytelling.
Identify and commission photographers, stylists, set designers, artists and other creative talent where appropriate.
Review and approve photography concepts, treatments, moodboards, shoot plans and final imagery.
Ensure photography consistently reflects the quality, character and creative ambition of Soho Home.
Build a strong and evolving network of creative talent and collaborators.

Campaigns & Brand Communications

Lead the creative development of Soho Home campaigns from initial concept through to final execution.
Develop strong creative concepts that connect product, brand, culture and storytelling.
Work closely with Marketing to translate commercial priorities into compelling creative campaigns.
Ensure campaigns have a clear visual narrative and consistent execution across channels.
Oversee the creative direction of seasonal launches, key product moments, collaborations and brand initiatives.
Work closely with Editorial, Digital, Social and Marketing teams to ensure creative is adapted appropriately across different channels.
Ensure the Soho Home brand is presented consistently across every customer-facing touchpoint.

Creative Process & Delivery

Establish a clear creative process from briefing and concept development through to execution and final delivery.
Ensure every project has a clear creative brief, visual direction and agreed output.
Maintain visibility across the creative pipeline, ensuring priorities and deadlines are clear.
Work closely with Product Operations and relevant project leads to understand key product and business milestones.
Identify creative risks or challenges early and develop solutions proactively.
Ensure creative projects are delivered on time and to the required standard.
Continually evolve the team's processes and ways of working to improve the quality and efficiency of creative output.

Brand & Creative Standards

Own and evolve the visual standards for Soho Home.
Ensure consistency across photography, campaigns, digital, editorial and other customer-facing creative.
Develop clear creative principles and guidance for internal teams and external partners.
Protect the integrity of the Soho Home brand whilst allowing the creative expression to evolve.
Ensure all external creative partners understand and deliver against the Soho Home creative vision.
Continually benchmark the brand against leading creative, fashion, interiors, hospitality and cultural brands.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Marketing, Product, NPD and Commercial teams to understand business priorities and translate them into strong creative output.
Build strong relationships with external agencies, photographers, stylists, artists, production companies and other creative partners.
Present creative concepts and recommendations confidently to senior leadership and stakeholders.

What We're Looking For..

Significant experience as a Creative Director or senior creative leader within luxury, interiors, fashion, hospitality, lifestyle or a related creative environment.
A highly developed and distinctive creative point of view.
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary creative teams.
Strong experience across photography, art direction, campaigns and visual storytelling.
An exceptional eye for composition, styling, detail and visual narrative.
Strong understanding of how to build and evolve a distinctive brand world.
Proven experience commissioning and directing photographers, stylists, artists and other creative talent.
Experience developing creative campaigns from initial concept through to execution.
Strong understanding of luxury, interiors, fashion, hospitality, culture and contemporary visual communication.
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas clearly and inspire others.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to give clear direction whilst empowering creative talent.
Highly collaborative, commercially aware and comfortable working with senior leadership.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple creative projects and competing priorities.
A strong network of creative talent and a genuine curiosity for emerging photographers, artists, designers, cultural movements and new visual languages.
The ability to balance creative ambition with commercial requirements, deadlines and practical delivery.
