At WPP ES, our Marketing Automation & CRM team architects, scales, and optimizes these enterprise MarTech solutions for leading global agency clients. We bridge the gap between complex technical setups and high-impact customer experiences across large, complex B2B and consumer environments.

We are seeking somebody that combines senior consulting and domain leadership with dedicated responsibility for people leadership. You will connect business strategy, customer experience and technology, shaping enterprise Marketing Automation solutions across platforms such as Salesforce, Braze, Bloomreach and Klaviyo.

What You'll Do

Business Consultancy:

This is a senior client-facing leadership role. You don't just recommend tools - you architect ecosystem strategies, align executive stakeholders, and steer enterprise clients toward high-value digital maturity.  
Act as the Primary Strategic & Technical Authority: Serve as the trusted sparring partner for senior client leads, translating business requirements into scalable MarTech strategies across Salesforce, Braze, Bloomreach, Klaviyo, and peripheral technologies.  
Lead Complex Client Engagements: Manage large projects within enterprise environments, proposing best-practice solutions, mapping progress against client KPIs, and serving as a mediator and decision-maker during escalations.  
Drive Business Growth & Pitches: Directly contribute to scoping, pitching, and solutioning for prospective and existing enterprise clients, proactively identifying new growth opportunities.  
Deliver High-Impact Advisory: Facilitate strategic workshops, create rollout plans, design adapted or new processes, and present research-backed recommendations to guide client decision-making.  
Nurture & Elevate Talent: Partner with the Solution Team Lead to review work, coach medior and junior specialists, provide cross-disciplinary education, and uphold high quality standards across the domain.  
Shape Domain Leadership: Advocate for the MarTech domain internally and externally through thought leadership, vendor alignment (e.g., Salesforce), marketing events, and knowledge-sharing across WPP ES' international network.

Leadership:

Coaching & Growth: Hold regular 1:1s on wellbeing, performance and development. Give specific, constructive feedback and turn career ambitions into clear goals, learning opportunities and stretch assignments.
Team Direction & Ownership: Translate company and practice priorities into clear team goals. Delegate meaningful responsibility, clarify expectations and decision boundaries, and maintain a regular team rhythm.
Trust & Accountability: Build an inclusive team where people can speak up, disagree and learn from mistakes. Address conflict, underperformance and unhelpful behaviour early and respectfully.
Capacity & Sustainable Performance: Coordinate staffing, capacity and utilisation with Project Managers and Delivery teams, balancing client needs, commercial priorities, workload and development.
People & Practice Management: Lead onboarding and performance reviews, contribute to fair reward decisions with People and relevant leadership, and partner with the CXM Director on team capability and service growth.

A MarTech Architecture Expert: You bring deep expertise in CRM, Marketing Automation, and Service/Sales Automation platforms, with proven experience balancing legacy enterprise tools with modern engagement engines.
A Growth Driver & Facilitator: You thrive in pitches, discovery sessions, and scoping scenarios, turning client challenges into creative, structured business solutions.
A People Multiplier: You take pride in reviewing work, mentoring colleagues, and elevating the capabilities of the team around you.
Leadership & People management: Clear team priorities, meaningful performance and development conversations, actionable growth plans, effective onboarding and sustainable capacity planning.

What You'll Need

10+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years in senior or executive management roles within a B2B services/agency environment.
3+ years of experience as a team lead.
Deep knowledge of CRM and Marketing Automation platforms, with proven expertise in Salesforce and familiarity with platforms like Braze, Bloomreach, or Klaviyo.
Demonstrated success in scoping, pitching, and delivering solutions for enterprise-level clients.
Strong conceptual, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication skills with fluency in English. Fluent in Dutch is preferred.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Currently residing in the Netherlands with a valid right to work.

The Team

You will join our Marketing Automation & CRM domain, partnering closely with the CXM Director, Capability Team Lead, project managers, and delivery teams. You will also collaborate regularly with internal marketing, technology vendors (like Salesforce), and global WPP/VML peers to elevate our overall practice.

A gross monthly salary range of 6,550 up to 7,300, based on experience

A split between consulting and team leadership, recognising both as core parts of the role. The balance between consulting and team leadership will be agreed based on the team’s size, needs and capability context, with leadership responsibilities reflected in your workload and consulting targets.
