Brand Designer

Firecrawl ships fast, and right now our visuals can’t keep up. We need a designer with real taste who makes every launch look as good as the product behind it. You’ll partner with our product marketing lead to build the brand system from the ground up, fill its library with on-brand motion and illustration, and help concept every launch we ship. This is a high-impact seat: your work will be the first thing millions of developers see from us. You’re a designer first, you care deeply about craft, and you use AI to make more, better, faster.

Salary Range: $196,000–$220,000 USD/year

Equity Range: Competitive equity. Details shared during the process.

Location: San Francisco, CA (SF HQ). In office 3+ days a week.

Job Type: Full-time

Experience: 5+ years

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States. We support candidates already in the US who need a transfer or existing status (H-1B transfers, F-1 OPT/STEM OPT), plus TN and E-3. We’re not able to start new H-1B sponsorship for candidates outside the US.

About Firecrawl

Firecrawl is the easiest way to turn the web into data AI agents can use. One API call converts any URL into clean, LLM-ready markdown or structured data. It's the boring-hard problem everyone building with LLMs eventually hits, solved.

In September 2026, we raised a $75M Series B led by Smash Capital, and we're spending it building the largest repository of knowledge in the world. We hit 8 figures in ARR in year one and more than doubled it in year two. We have 187k+ GitHub stars, putting us in the top 40 repositories of all time, and developers, agents, and category-defining AI companies build on us every day. Growth like this is rare, and we're just getting started.

We're a small team punching far above our weight. Everyone here owns a real piece of the product and company, end to end, and runs it themselves. No hiding behind process or headcount.

This is a place for people who want to work at the frontier: an AI company building the infrastructure other AI companies run on, not one bolting AI onto an existing product. We move fast, go deep, and are building the tools superintelligence will rely on to gather data from the web. That library is called Alexandria, and it starts now.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Backgrounds that often do well: a brand or motion designer at an AI or devtools startup who owns launches end to end, a designer at a design-forward studio who has started building their own tools with AI, a creative technologist with a portfolio that leads with craft.

What We're NOT Looking For

A Note On Pace

We operate at an absurd level of urgency because the window for what we're building won't stay open forever. If that excites you, keep reading. If it doesn't, no hard feelings, but this role probably isn't for you.

Interview Process

Application Review: Send us your work: your best launch video, a poster you’re proud of, and anything you’ve built with AI (a tool, a workflow, a piece that shipped as code). For each, tell us what you personally owned.

Intro Chat (~25 min): Meet Rhys, who leads product marketing. Walk us through your portfolio, how you think about motion and type, and how AI fits into your process. Time for your questions too.

Creative Deep Dive (~60 min): Meet Eric, our co-founder and CGO. Walk us through one launch end to end: the concept, the calls you made, what you’d change. Then a live prompt: how would you take one of our recent launches further? Come ready to think out loud. We care how you reason, not whether you have a rehearsed answer.

Paid Work Trial (~40 Hours): Work on a real launch with the team: concept it, design it, animate it, and get it into code. Paid at a contractor rate. We evaluate on taste, speed, and whether we’d ship it. Remote-friendly, and we’ll flex around your current commitments.

Decision: We move fast after the trial.

If you want to define how one of the fastest-growing developer tools on the internet looks and moves, and you’d rather make the work than talk about it, this is your shot.
