Career Opportunity: Hospital Donation Specialist I in the Tri- State of Kentucky and Surrounding Regions

As the Hospital Donation Specialist, you will partner with assigned hospitals to support organ, eye, and tissue donation efforts from referral through case follow-up. You will educate clinical teams, participate in hospital rounds and committees, provide hands-on support during donor cases, and use referral and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement. The role also helps hospital partners strengthen donation policies, procedures, regulatory compliance, and staff engagement. This position reports to the Manager of Hospital Services and works onsite in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary donation resource and relationship partner for assigned hospitals.
- Educate hospital staff through rounds, in-services, committees, and case follow-up.
- Support referrals and donor cases, including testing, donor management, documentation, and organ recovery activities.
- Review referral and performance data, identify improvement opportunities, and develop action plans.
- Help hospitals maintain effective donation policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Navigate electronic medical records accurately while protecting confidential patient information.
Qualifications:
- RN credential or bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent certifications and experience considered.
- Five years of healthcare experience preferred; donation coordination experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, organization, and presentation skills.
- Comfort with electronic medical records, data entry, and Microsoft Office.
- Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent sitting and keyboarding, with occasional standing, walking, and lifting to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodation may be available.
