A Management Analyst I job is available with the City of Fort Worth Environmental Services Department, Business Services Division. The candidate will be responsible for providing support in the areas of financial and strategic planning, including coordination of procurement activities, project management, budget and forecast development, and a variety of assignments as priorities change daily. Duties will include performing a variety of technical tasks such as drafting written communications and creating presentations, work plan development, and facilitating meetings related to the assigned area of responsibility.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration, or related
- No previous experience required
- Possession of a valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with municipal procurement processes and policies
- Experience with analyzing various local government funding sources including general, grant, capital, enterprise, and special revenue funds
- Advanced competency with Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, and other Microsoft applications
- Experience with contract management or supporting audit/compliance review processes
The Management Analyst I job responsibilities include:
- Coordinate life cycle procurement processes, including specification for solicitation of goods and services, vendor research, proposal evaluation, award recommendations and contract development, execution and tracking
- Conduct financial analysis, expenditure monitoring, forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, and periodic financial re-estimates
- Support for contract administration including tracking renewals, deliverables, expenditure, insurance requirements, vendor performance, and milestones for department operations and capital projects
- Develop dashboards, reports, presentations, and performance measures using data-driven
- Coordinate departmental projects by developing work plans, schedules, milestones, risk logs, and progress reports
- Conduct operational reviews, process mapping, workload studies, and feasibility analyses; recommend improvements, automation, and internal controls
- Assist leadership with strategic planning, business plan reporting, policy development, executive briefings, and presentations
- Serve as liaison among operating division, other COFW Departments, and external vendors
- Lead special projects and provide cross-functional administrative coverage as priorities or service needs change
- Assist with contract compliance and audit support activities, including reviewing documentation, monitoring vendor performance, and supporting internal control or compliance reviews
