Animal Clinic of Kalispell is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support exceptional experiences for our clients and patients across all aspects of hospital care.

You’ll have the opportunity to gain experience in client communication, surgery, dentistry, outpatient procedures, and general patient care while working alongside a supportive and collaborative team.
We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn, works well with others, communicates professionally, and takes pride in providing compassionate care to patients and their families. The ideal candidate is comfortable multitasking, willing to ask questions, and ready to develop their skills while supporting both our patients and the veterinary team throughout every stage of the visit.
In this position, you will take an active role in:
- Assisting veterinarians during exams and treatments
- Providing safe, gentle patient handling and restraint during outpatient and procedural care
- Preparing patients, equipment, and treatment areas for appointments and procedures
- Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation
- Building positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
- Maintaining clean, organized, and fully prepared exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces
Schedule and compensation:
- Compensation: $19 - $21 per hour, for each hour worked
- This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
- 2+ years of veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel, or related role preferred
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Safe animal handling and restraint skills for dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments
- Client communication and education
- Ability to assist with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures
- Experience collecting patient histories and obtaining patient weights and vital signs preferred
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment
