Regional Marketing Associate – Midwest Region
Department: Marketing
Reports to: Senior Marketing Manager
Job Type: Full-Time | Exempt
Salary range: $60,000 to $70,000
Work Location: Hybrid / Field-Based – Must reside in the Minneapolis / St. Paul region
Position Summary
Lakefield Veterinary Group is seeking a Regional Marketing Associate – Midwest Region to serve as an on-the-ground marketing and growth partner for a portfolio of approximately 12 veterinary hospitals.
This is a hands-on role for a marketer who enjoys turning strategy into action. You’ll work directly with hospital teams, Operations, Medical Leadership, and our Enterprise Marketing Team to implement marketing programs, identify local growth opportunities, strengthen community engagement, and help hospitals attract and retain clients.
Rather than supporting every hospital in the Midwest at the same level, you’ll focus on a portfolio of priority locations where dedicated marketing support can have the greatest impact. Hospital assignments may shift quarterly based on business performance, growth opportunities, and Marketing and Operations priorities.
This is a great opportunity for a marketer who enjoys being out in the field, building relationships, solving problems, and executing marketing—not just planning it.
What You'll Do
Own Marketing Support for a Regional Portfolio
- Serve as the primary field marketing partner for approximately 12 priority hospitals.
- Build strong relationships with hospital and Operations leaders and understand each location's business needs, local market, and growth opportunities.
- Help translate annual and quarterly Marketing priorities into actionable local plans.
- Review performance and proactively identify hospitals or opportunities requiring additional marketing support.
Execute Marketing Programs & Campaigns
- Implement enterprise, regional, and local marketing campaigns across assigned hospitals.
- Provide hands-on support for client service, client acquisition, client retention, online booking, forward booking, reputation, referral, and other growth initiatives.
- Personally execute local marketing activities while partnering with specialized Marketing team members for additional channel support.
- Ensure programs and campaigns are implemented accurately, on time, and with strong hospital engagement.
Build Local Awareness & Community Connections
- Identify and develop local partnerships, sponsorships, events, and community outreach opportunities.
- Help hospitals build stronger relationships within their communities and increase local awareness.
- Coordinate event participation, outreach materials, promotions, and local activation.
- Support local content opportunities, including social media, Google Business Profile, photos, videos, new services, and new DVM announcements.
Strengthen Client Experience & Reputation
- Review client feedback, reputation trends, and available sentiment data.
- Identify opportunities to improve client experience, satisfaction, retention, and reputation.
- Partner with hospital and Operations leadership to implement appropriate marketing and communication solutions.
Measure, Learn & Improve
- Monitor key business and marketing performance indicators across assigned hospitals.
- Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities and recommend actions to improve performance.
- Share market insights, competitive activity, successful programs, and field learnings with the broader Marketing Team.
- Help identify successful local strategies that can be replicated across other hospitals.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in field marketing, regional marketing, local marketing, or a related role.
- Experience supporting multiple locations or markets preferred.
- Strong project management, organization, and follow-through.
- Comfortable using data and KPIs to identify opportunities and guide marketing decisions.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- A hands-on, solution-oriented mindset and willingness to roll up your sleeves and execute.
- Comfortable working directly with frontline teams, clients, and community partners.
- Experience with community marketing, events, partnerships, social media, or local marketing preferred.
- Veterinary, healthcare, retail, or multi-location service experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Canva, Monday.com, CRM/email platforms, social media, and marketing analytics tools is helpful.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly throughout assigned Midwest markets.
How You'll Work
This is a hybrid field and remote position requiring regular in-person presence at assigned hospitals and travel throughout the Midwest region.
Your hospital portfolio will generally include approximately 12 priority locations at a time. Assignments may change quarterly based on business needs and where dedicated Marketing support can create the greatest impact.
What Success Looks Like
You'll be successful in this role when hospitals see you as a trusted, proactive Marketing partner—not simply someone who provides resources. You'll help turn Marketing strategy into action, identify opportunities before you're asked, ensure initiatives get across the finish line, and use performance insights to continuously improve results.
Most importantly, you'll help our hospitals become more visible in their communities, strengthen the client experience, and drive sustainable growth.
