Overview:

The Director of Clinical Services, Hospice provides coordination of the entire interdisciplinary team by coordinating all disciplines including social work, counseling and volunteer services for the provision of patient care, particularly through coordination of the interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings. The Director of Clinical Services assists with the oversight of safety and infection control, chart audits, and medical supplies. Assures medical records are maintained appropriately and that all clinical disciplines function according to licensure, state law and Medicare standards.  Assist with coverage for the Director of Operations during vacations, leaves or as needed.   This position supports the Dayton, Lebanon and Cincinnati Markets.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program, bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Must have a current RN license in good standing in the state of Ohio or in accordance with the Board of Nursing.  Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation that is insured in accordance with Ohio requirements

Experience: 

3–5+ years of hospice experience: Strong background in hospice experiences that include: End-of-life care, Pain and symptom management, Interdisciplinary team (IDT) leadership, Medicare hospice regulations

2–3+ years in a supervisory or management role, such as: Clinical Manager, Patient Care Manager, Assistant Director of Nursing

Must have experience with: Staff supervision and coaching/discipline, Clinical performance improvement and Policy development and enforcement

Strong knowledge of: Medicare Hospice Conditions of Participation including State hospice regulations, Accreditation standards (CHAP, ACHC, Joint Commission), Surveys and audits, Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI), and Risk management and infection control
