The Senior Accountant will play a key role in CLEAR’s financial close and reporting processes, ensuring accurate financial records, strong internal controls, and compliance with U.S. GAAP. You’ll own complex accounting activities, partner across the business to resolve challenges, and drive improvements through automation, AI, and scalable accounting processes.
What you'll do:
- Own key general ledger activities across monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and accountability
- Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analyses across areas including fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, payroll, cash, and investments
- Partner with Finance, Payroll, Legal, and Operations to resolve complex accounting matters and support financial reporting and audit requests
- Execute and strengthen internal controls, maintaining SOX compliance and clear, audit-ready documentation • Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging AI, automation, and system enhancements to streamline workflows and increase efficiency
How you'll measure success:
- Timely and accurate completion of assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities • Reduction in reconciliation discrepancies, adjusting entries, and unresolved accounting items
- Consistent execution of SOX controls and timely resolution of audit requests and findings
- Measurable improvements in close efficiency, process automation, and reporting accuracy
What you're great at:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and experience managing complex general ledger activities; public accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of SOX controls, financial reporting, accounting systems, and technical accounting principles
- Independently navigating complex accounting matters, exercising sound judgment, and solving problems without established processes or templates
- Building trusted cross-functional relationships and communicating financial information clearly to accounting and non-accounting stakeholders
- Driving continuous improvement through analytical thinking, strong organization, and curiosity about AI, automation, and emerging technologies

The base salary range for this role is $130,000.00 - $155,000.00, depending on levels of skills and experience.
The base salary range represents the low and high end of CLEAR’s salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of CLEAR’s total compensation package for employees and other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units.
