POSITION OVERVIEW
As Partner Director, Data Center & Energy Solutions at TransGrid Energy, you will lead the development and execution of strategic partnerships that accelerate growth across data center energy solutions, distributed energy resources (DER), energy storage, demand response, Virtual Power Plants (VPP), and grid services markets.
This is a highly visible role within a rapidly growing organization, responsible for building and scaling a partner ecosystem that drives revenue, market expansion, customer acquisition, and long-term strategic value. You will operate across business development, market development, utility engagement, strategic partnerships, and commercialization, serving as a key leader in shaping how TransGrid Energy brings innovative energy solutions to market.
The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of energy markets, energy storage, distributed energy resources, grid services, utility programs, demand response, and emerging energy technologies. This individual thrives in entrepreneurial environments, embraces ambiguity, and has a proven track record of creating new revenue opportunities through strategic partnerships, utility relationships, and innovative go-to-market strategies.
Working closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership, you will identify, establish, and expand relationships with utilities, hyperscalers, data center operators, technology providers, OEMs, energy service providers, market operators, developers, EPCs, and channel partners to accelerate growth and position TransGrid Energy as a market leader in next-generation energy solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute partnership strategies that drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and market expansion across data center, utility, energy infrastructure, distributed energy, and grid services markets.
Identify, recruit, negotiate, onboard, and manage strategic partnerships that accelerate adoption of TransGrid Energy solutions and create measurable business value.
Build and maintain executive-level relationships with utilities, hyperscalers, data center operators, technology providers, OEMs, channel partners, developers, and energy service providers.
Own the full partner lifecycle, including partner identification, qualification, onboarding, enablement, performance management, and long-term strategic growth.
Develop joint business plans, go-to-market strategies, and co-selling initiatives that generate pipeline, increase deal velocity, and drive revenue outcomes.
Serve as the primary relationship owner for key strategic partners, ensuring strong engagement, alignment, and execution against shared objectives.
Collaborate closely with Sales teams to identify opportunities, develop account strategies, structure partner engagement, and support complex commercial pursuits.
Drive partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline growth through joint prospecting, market development activities, and strategic account initiatives.
Structure, negotiate, and execute commercial agreements, partnership frameworks, and strategic alliances that support long-term growth objectives.
Partner with Marketing to deliver joint campaigns, events, thought leadership initiatives, and customer-facing programs that increase market awareness and demand generation.
Work cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Executive Leadership to ensure partner feedback, market intelligence, and customer needs are reflected in product and business strategies.
Monitor industry trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and regulatory developments to identify emerging partnership opportunities and growth initiatives.
Establish performance metrics, forecasting processes, and business reviews to measure partner effectiveness, optimize results, and ensure accountability.
Represent TransGrid Energy at industry conferences, customer engagements, and partner forums as a leader within the energy, data center, and distributed energy ecosystem.
Build scalable partner processes, engagement models, and governance frameworks that support long-term growth while maintaining startup agility.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
8–12+ years of experience in partner management, partner sales, business development, or ecosystem roles, ideally within high-growth or startup environments.
Proven track record of recruiting, enabling, and monetizing partners. Evidence of having built or significantly scaled a partner program from an early stage.
Strong experience driving partner-led revenue, including sourcing, co-selling, and owning the deal cycle.
Comfortable operating across strategy and execution, with a bias toward action and high level of ownership.
Strong executive communication skills and ability to influence internally and externally.
You are adept at managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects across Sales, Marketing, and Product teams, and with partner teams.
You thrive in ambiguity and are comfortable building the plane while flying it. You don't need a pre-existing playbook; you want to write it.
You have a "sales-first" mindset. You understand that a partnership is only as good as the revenue it generates.
Proficiency in CRM tools and the ability to use data to justify investments.
Travel may be required up to 20-30%, depending on business needs.
