Ready to spark your growth with us?
WHO WE LOOK FOR 🦄
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Content Platform team.
You will maintain and evolve FAdmin, our core flyer processing system, together with the other systems the team owns: workflow executor, vendors, merchant admin, FTP sync and store admin.
You will deliver roadmap work end to end, support the team on our service desk and stakeholder request boards, and work AI-first: using Claude Code and agentic coding every day to ship faster, and helping make FAdmin easier for AI agents to work on safely.
If you enjoy owning a mission-critical production system, shipping quality code with a tight feedback loop, and shaping how a team develops software with AI agents, this role is for you!
WHAT YOU WILL DO 🏄
- Maintain, evolve, and deliver roadmap features end-to-end for FAdmin and Content Platform ecosystem tools.
- Work with an AI-first approach every day using tools like Claude Code and agentic workflows to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and refactor codebase architecture to be agent-friendly.
- Actively support the team on the Content Layer Service Desk (CLSD) and internal Ask boards to address issues, support operations, and resolve service requests promptly.
- Write automated tests, participate in peer code reviews, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous, high-quality deployments.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED 🪄
- 2 to 5 years of back-end or full-stack development experience.
- Proven production experience building and maintaining applications with Ruby on Rails.
- 2 to 5 years of solid experience working with relational databases and SQL query design.
- Daily experience using AI coding agents (Claude Code or similar) for planning tasks, reviewing/testing AI-generated code, and maintaining strict quality standards.
- Experience with automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
- History of shipping quality code and features reliably to production.
- Fluent English: Strong written and spoken communication skills.
👉 At our company, we value diversity and actively encourage it — we believe a variety of perspectives and backgrounds makes us stronger. We focus on potential rather than on having a “perfect” CV. If this role excites you and you believe you could grow into it — even if you don’t tick every single box in the requirements — we’d love to hear from you!
NICE TO HAVE 🎆
- Deep understanding of skills, MCP servers, subagents, CLAUDE.md, and context engineering.
- Experience with Kafka or message broker systems.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and AWS.
- Experience with Datadog and participating in production on-call rotations.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript / TypeScript.
- Familiarity with LLM-powered product features or content/catalog data pipelines.

TO FEEL AT HOME 🛋️ IN SHOPFULLY YOU NEED 🎯
- Progress Over Perfection: We move forward. Always. In a fast-moving world, speed with purpose beats certainty without action. Momentum matters—not for its own sake, but because it drives results.
- Clarity Through Transparency: We bring each other along. We work in teams, not silos. Transparency gives context, and context enables action. That means we share decisions early, publish work in progress, and document outcomes so others can learn, move faster, and build better.
- Learn Loudly: We grow by doing and by daring. Big bets unlock big breakthroughs. But real innovation demands risk, and risk always carries the possibility of failure. That’s not a flaw. It’s the price of ambition.
- Challenge with Empathy: We speak up, even when it’s hard—because candor shows care, and leads to better outcomes. Listening deeply is how we grow. Disagreeing openly is how we build trust.
Always Build Better: We are builders—of products, systems, and ideas. But more than that, we are builders of better. Better has no finish line. It’s a mindset.
