What is Coast

Coast is re-imagining the trillion-dollar U.S. B2B card payments infrastructure, with a focus on the country’s 500,000 commercial fleets, 40 million commercial vehicles, and many millions of commercial drivers. The incumbent technologies that cater to these customers are decades old, and businesses with fleets increasingly demand modern digital experiences and transparent financial services products. Coast’s mission is to deliver this at a transformational scale, beginning with the Coast Fleet and Fuel Card built on a cutting-edge spend management platform.

About the Role

As an Account Executive on Coast's SMB team, you'll help fleet-driven businesses like contractors, landscapers and field service companies take control of their spend with a single platform for fuel, corporate cards and expense management. Our top performers share a few traits: they're competitive, coachable and accountable to a high standard, and they move fast. They qualify quickly, run sharp discovery, and close with confidence. You'll manage a full sales cycle across inbound and self-sourced pipeline. You'll learn to sell the full Coast platform, from fuel cards to companywide corporate card programs, and to build value with both fleet operators and finance leaders.

This team builds things. Our reps test new AI-powered sales tools, lead partner initiatives, help ramp new teammates, and win company culture awards. You'll get structured training on a proven sales playbook, regular call coaching, and a clear path to promote to Mid-Market Account Executive. If you want to be part of a fast-growing fintech where your ideas shape how we sell, and you're rewarded for performance, we'd love to talk.

What You’ll Do

What Success Looks Like

In your first year, you’ll be successful if you:

  1. Hit or beat quota on new logos and payment volume, every month.
  2. Build your own pipeline. The gold standard is to get one net new meeting set on your calendar every day.
  3. Sell the whole platform. Bring all expense management products into every deal where they fit.
  4. Assist in activating customers and getting them using the platform, always with an intention to make it smoother and more efficient for the client.
  5. Make the team better. Share what's working, help ramp new hires, and help shape how we sell.Bachelor’s degree from a four year university

Requirements

Critically, you must be practical and business-minded, smart and creative, and excited about the rewards and volatility of an early-stage venture-backed startup.
