The Role

Paid acquisition is one of the biggest levers on Emergent's growth. Every day, people around the world go from a single sentence to a working app, and we want a leader who can put that moment in front of the right people, in the right markets, at a cost that scales. As a Performance Marketing leader, you will own our paid growth engine end-to-end: the plan, the budget, the channels, the creative, the measurement, and the results.

The core problem you are solving is efficient, scalable growth. We want more high-intent users and more paying customers for every dollar we spend, while spend grows across dozens of countries. That takes two things at once: deep fluency in how modern ad platforms, auctions, and attribution actually work, and the operating discipline to read the numbers daily and make hard calls quickly. You will lead and scale a performance team running campaigns across the globe.

What You'll Do

Own the plan and the budget: build the paid growth plan bottom-up by channel and market, make the case for the investment it needs, and own the return on it
Own unit economics: drive down CAC and cost per paying user while improving payback and LTV:CAC, without trading quality of users for volume
Own the channel mix: decide how spend is split across Google, Meta, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit, X, Apple Search Ads, programmatic and emerging AI-native surfaces, and rebalance as the data changes
Scale globally: expand and optimise across the US, Europe, India and other priority markets, with market-level plans for bids, budgets, creative and localisation
Build the creative engine: run a high-velocity testing loop with design and content teams, turning product moments and trends into ads quickly and killing losers fast
Own measurement and attribution: build honest, trusted measurement across MMPs, server-side tracking, conversion APIs, incrementality tests and media mix modelling, and keep reporting clean in a privacy-first world
Partner across the funnel: work with product, growth and lifecycle teams on landing pages, onboarding and conversion to paid, so every acquired user has the best chance to convert and retain
Manage partners: select, brief and manage agencies, ad platforms and tooling vendors, and decide what runs in-house versus through partners

What We're Looking For

8+ years of experience in performance marketing, paid acquisition or growth. Expereince handling US market is mamndatory.
A track record of profitably scaling paid acquisition with large budgets (multi-million dollars a year), with hard numbers attached to the outcomes
Hands-on depth across major ad platforms, especially Google and Meta, and an understanding of how auctions, bidding strategies and algorithms really behave at scale
Comfort building a plan bottom-up, defending the investment it needs, and being accountable for the outcome
Strong commercial and analytical instincts: you are fluent in CAC, ROAS, payback, LTV, cohort retention and plan versus actual, and you use them daily
Deep understanding of modern measurement: attribution models, MMPs, conversion APIs, incrementality testing and the impact of privacy changes on tracking
A strong eye for creative: you know why some ads convert and others don't, and you can run a disciplined testing programme
The operating discipline to run a high-spend, high-velocity channel: clean tracking, tight process, fast decisions
Experience managing agencies and negotiating with platforms and vendors

What Sets You Apart

Global experience, particularly scaling paid acquisition in the US and Europe from an India-based team
A consumer tech, SaaS, developer tools or AI product background, especially products with a freemium or self-serve subscription model
Experience building a performance function, its measurement stack or an MMM/incrementality programme from the ground up, not inheriting it
Hands-on comfort with SQL, BigQuery or similar, and with using AI tools to speed up creative production and campaign analysis
Experience with B2B or prosumer acquisition alongside consumer, including LinkedIn and account-based targeting
