The City of Fort Worth Water Utility is seeking a Sr. Utility Rate Analyst to perform a variety of complex financial and operational analyses to shape our water and sewer retail and wholesale rates. In this role, you’ll evaluate historical and projected data, support long-range financial planning, and help ensure our rate structures remain fair, sustainable, and forward-looking.

The ideal candidate will excel at communicating and collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including fiscal staff, utility leadership, the FWLab Office, the City Manager’s Office, and both retail and wholesale rate stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for navigating these diverse groups and presenting complex financial information clearly.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions.  

Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
