Most insurance companies grow by buying attention and hoping the product holds up afterward. We built Sola the other way around. We own every layer of insurance, from the weather data behind our pricing to the policy in a homeowner's hands, and thousands of independent agents already trust us with their clients. What we need now is someone who can turn that trust into a growth engine that compounds, measured in real numbers and built with their own hands.

TL;DR
Role: Head of Growth, Sola's first dedicated growth leader
Level: Senior leader working directly with the founders
Team: Marketing and growth, partnering closely with sales and product
Key focus: Own the full funnel from acquisition through monetization, scale our agent referral network, and build the measurement that shows what is working
Location: We work together from our West Midtown office. We've found that our best ideas, fastest experiments and closest working relationships come from being in the same room.
The Role
We're hiring a Head of Growth to own how Sola grows, from the first time an independent agent or homeowner hears about us to the moment they become a loyal, paying customer.
Your job is to build and scale the systems that bring more agents onto Sola, get them quoting and selling, and turn that activity into revenue.
We want someone highly analytical, deeply experiments-driven, and obsessed with figuring out what actually drives revenue. This is not a traditional "manage agencies and report on leads" marketing role.
You should constantly be testing:
Channels
Messaging for agents and homeowners
Funnel conversion, from agent sign-up to first quote to repeat business
Referral loops across our agent network
Paid, SEO and email campaigns
Local community events and partnerships
AI-powered automations and workflows
What You'll Own
Full-funnel growth across acquisition, activation, retention and monetization
Agent acquisition and the referral network that turns our best agents into our best recruiters
Local community events and partnerships with independent agencies
Funnel optimization and conversion improvement for agents and homeowners
Experimentation across channels, messaging and go-to-market motions
ROI measurement, attribution, CAC and the dashboards the founders review every week
Sales enablement, including the assets, tools and messaging that make Sola easier to sell
AI-driven growth systems and automations
Hiring and scaling the growth function over time
Who We're Looking For
Must-haves
Strong analytical and growth mindset
Proven track record owning a full funnel at a high-growth startup, including monetization
Highly experiments-driven, and able to explain the why behind both wins and failures
AI-native, using tools like Cursor, Claude or Codex to build and ship real work
High agency, low ego and innately curious
Comfortable operating strategically and hands-on
Strong plus
Experience taking a startup from seed or Series A into real scale
Built referral or community-driven growth programs
Experience in insurance, fintech or another regulated industry where trust is the product
Experience growing through agents, brokers or another partner channel
An active presence on X or LinkedIn, or a personal website where you share how you think about growth
Not a fit
Brand marketers without funnel or revenue ownership
People optimized around leads or vanity metrics over revenue
Managers who mainly coordinate agencies instead of executing
Anyone who cannot explain the reasoning behind their past tests and results
