THE PROGRAMME
This is a full-time in-person graduate position based in Dublin, Ireland, offered as an 18-month fixed-term contract commencing on September 6, 2027. You will join the Technology team as a Software Engineer for the duration of the programme and take part in a structured onboarding covering KKR and alternative investments. You will work on real production initiatives across the Investment Lifecycle and asset-class platforms, attend educational and network-building programming, and have the opportunity to showcase your work to technology leaders across the firm.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As part of our continued investment in Ireland, KKR is launching a Technology & Engineering Centre of Excellence in Dublin. This new hub will play a central role in building the world’s first technology platform engineered to manage over one trillion dollars in alternative AUM (assets under management). Designed from the ground up for scale, security and speed, this is the infrastructure for the future of global finance. Areas of focus include investment technology, portfolio construction and management, liquidity solutions, risk analytics, and advanced data platforms

TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING — AI, Data, and Platform Technologies (ADAPT)

CRITICAL COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS
- Currently attending a university in Ireland, the UK, or continental Europe with an outstanding academic record, and available for a 6–9 month placement starting January 2027
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related technical field (typically undertaking a placement/internship year or a work-integrated master's)
- Eligible to work in Ireland on a full-time basis without the need for current or future visa sponsorship
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and communicating ideas
- Proficiency with Java, Python, C/C++
- Curiosity about and openness to adopting emerging AI technologies in day-to-day workflows
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy and relevance
- Familiarity with effective prompt design and generating reliable results using generative AI tools
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to act both strategically and tactically with exceptional attention to detail
- Outstanding time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- Team-player who enjoys working in a collaborative and collegial environment and is willing to pitch in when needed
- Intellectual curiosity and an interest in financial services and alternative investments
